Dear Baldwin Families,
At Friends of Baldwin, we support every child’s growth by funding opportunities beyond the school budget, helping them discover, build confidence, and feel a true sense of belonging.
One example from last year was our first-ever Friends of Baldwin Family Spring Dance! With a D.J., pizza, and a quiet room for breaks, it was a night to remember. One parent even shared:
I never wanted his autism to hold him back or make him feel excluded. Holding his hand, I took a deep breath and stepped into the gym. He lit up, jumping and spinning and I spun just to see his smile. His sweet friends came up to him and were happy to see him, and that meant so much to me. That moment of inclusion, overcoming anxiety, and pure joy will stay with me forever.
Moments like this remind us that when we come together, we create a community where every child can thrive.
Last year, thanks to the generosity of our school community, Friends of Baldwin invested $37,000 total, including $27,000 in grade-level enrichment and $8,000 in school-wide events.
This school year, we’re going even bigger! Along with our favorite Friends of Baldwin events, like STEM Fest and our End-of-Year Field Day (complete with bounce houses and a teacher dunk tank), we’re sponsoring author Bethany Barton, whose new book I’m Trying to Love Farts will have kids rolling with laughter. Plus, we’re expanding with more family dances, a winter gym meetup, movie nights, a family skating event, and a multicultural celebration.
Will you help us bring wonder, connection, and belonging to this year’s class? Every gift makes a difference and all donations are tax-deductible:
$100 provides new art and sensory materials that spark creativity and exploration
$250 brings guest authors and experts into classrooms, inspiring big ideas in little learners
$500 sponsors inclusive community events like the Spring Dance that help kids feel seen and celebrated
To honor our commitments to the teachers, staff, and students at Baldwin, we’re aiming to raise $45,000 by December 1, 2025. Reaching this goal will allow us to fully fund this year’s programming, without needing to come back with another ask. We’d be so grateful for your support. Will you help us get there?
Many employers offer matching gifts, doubling your impact! Donate here or by check, addressed to Elaine Coleman in the Main Office.
Thank you for being part of this community. Whether you’re able to give $5 or $500, your support brings joy and opportunity into your child’s school day.
With warm wishes,
Your Friends of Baldwin
Annie, Jodie, Kerry, Lauren, and Julie
P.S. Your gift today makes sure every child at Baldwin feels seen, included, and ready to thrive.
